My name is Candice Minette. I am a 26 year old Glendale, Arizona native. I grew up with my two older sisters, Gabrielle & Laura Beth and my parents, Bill & Jainine. I began my fit journey July of 2012 when I found myself working in the corporate world, enjoying it thoroughly, yethad picked up some terrible eating/drinking habits. I had been steadily gaining weight and wasn’t happy with my body, especially since I had previously been a collegiate athlete. I also knew I was fully capable of gaining a lot of weight because my mother had struggled with her weight for a very long time and unfortunately, lost her life in August of 2008 due to a stroke caused by high blood pressure. SHE is the reason my sisters and I stay fit. We owe it to her, and I believe she would be truly proud of us today.

So, in July of 2012, I decided to commit to my first ever Figure competition. I am 5’2” and started my training at 137lbs and 22% body fat. I lifted weights 4 days a week, did cardio 5-6 days a week, and ate a very strict competition diet for four months. I stepped on stage in November 2012 at 114lbs and 11% body fat. I got 2nd place in my show and qualified to compete at nationals in July of 2013.I had never felt so accomplished in my life. I worked with Drew Cavner of Mixer’s Nutrition from the very beginning of my show prep and he helped me stay healthy and strong the entire way through. I couldn’t have done it without him teaching me and giving me advice those four months. I am now training for the Grand Prix in California on April 13th and then heading to USA’s in July.

The products I use on a daily basis from Mixer’s Nutrition are:
